My father served in the US
Navy towards the end of WWII and was assigned to
ARD-29, a floating dry dock, which was one of many Navy assets
assigned to
Operation Crossroads in the summer of 1946. My father has a US
Navy Operations Crossroads ID card issued to US Navy personnel who were present
during the atomic bomb test at Bikini Island in the summer of 1946.
